The Slash 2 from UNIZ
The Slash 2 3D printer is an SLA/LCD printer, popular in the fields of dentistry and jewelry, is now available at Project 3D Printers. This new model boasts a larger LCD screen at 8.9”, allowing for higher resolution design and complexity that was previously complicated by the small sized screens.
One of the faster printers of its kind, the Slash 2’s prints speeds range up to 200 mm/hour at customizable layer thicknesses. The build volume is 7.5” x 4.7” x 7.9”, giving a substantial amount of volume for a desktop model and for orthodontic applications. Highly detailed prints can be achieved on this new model, with an xy-resolution of 49.8 microns and adjustable layer thickness of 10-300 microns. Given that the model is meant for a workplace setting and can be setup on a table, the total weight of the printer is 31 lbs, and its full dimensions are 14” x 16” x 21”.
Although like other printers of its kind, it requires 100-240 VAC power, it has the ability to connect to other systems using USB, Wifi or Ethernet. Additionally, this model can be made compatible with iPhones, iPads, Android Phones and Android Tablets.
Additionally, this printer can be controlled using desktop software compatible with Windows 7 and higher or Mac OS X 10.7 and higher, allowing it advanced features such as multi-printer management for companies printing many models at once, built-in advanced model repair, and file support for files larger than 1 GB. UNIZ’s Slash 2 software is compatible with STL, OBJ, AMF, 3MF, and UNIZ files, allowing easy transfer for 3D printing files between most standard slicing and design software.
