Be the first to ask a question about this.
Imagine changing colors during the same layer, without any supervision. Imagine having a single extruder printer, but being able to print up to four different colors of filament. Seems insane, we know, but you can stop imagining--it's real!
The Palette 2 from those wizards at Mosaic intakes four strands of filament and combines them before feeding the color of your choice into your 3D printer. This means you can switch color at any point in your print for some beautiful, complex, surprising prints that will look like magic.
And with the Palette 2 Pro, you can use the Splice Core Pro. Machined from aluminum for optimal cooling and 20% faster splicing speeds, this is the big gun of multi-material printing.
The Palette 2 Pro has an elegant design that leads each of the four filaments you choose through a tidy path, into the newly designed and extra robust SpliceCore Pro, which creates the strongest and most reliable bonds possible between filaments. The G-Code generated by the Canvas (or Chroma if you prefer to use another slicer) software will talk to the Palette 2 Pro, making certain the correct color is used at each point of your print.
The Palette 2 Pro isn't just for multi-filament printing. When one spool runs out of filament, the Palette 2 can automatically detect it and will splice to another spool, without a second thought. Away from the printer for one of those days-long prints? You never have to worry again.
Palette 2 Pro includes our Splice Core Pro, machined out of aluminum for optimal cooling and 20% faster splicing speeds.

Palette 2 Pro features the all-metal, modular Splice Core Pro. Machined out of aircraft-grade aluminum, the Splice Core Pro was designed for ultimate durability and performance. Premium internal components with precisely tuned thermal characteristics allow the Splice Core Pro to heat up and cool down up to 20% faster than the Palette 2 Splice Core. The Splice Core Pro is only compatible with the Palette 2 Pro.
Generally, if your print bed is larger than 30cm (12”) in any dimension, plan to use Palette 2 for industrial purposes, or push very high printing speeds on your printer, we recommend that you upgrade to the Palette 2 Pro to prevent limiting your printing speeds.
Palette 2 Pro comes with an extended warranty of 12 months or 50,000 splices (whichever comes first), and a generous array of extra components to ensure minimized downtime. Palette 2 Pro also comes with an extra large teflon guide tube for use with larger printers.
